How far along? 16 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain: 6-7 pounds
Maternity clothes? Mostly still wearing non-maternity and using a Bella Band when needed. I have worn a couple maternity tops (one as seen in this photo) and jeans on a few occasions and do appreciate the soft stretchy fabrics, especially at the end of the day when the bump gets a lot bigger. 🙂
Stretch marks: No. Rubbing Mio Tummy Butter on daily to help keep my skin moisturized.
Sleep: Still sleeping well and a lot.
Best moment this week: Meeting some of our new neighbors who have been just the nicest and feeling so lucky that we’ll be moving into such a wonderful neighborhood! I just learned that our street has a block party every summer. Love that we can find a small town feel in a big city. Also, my energy was better this week and I even exercised a few times. Twas good for my soul.
Miss Anything? Eating raw cookie dough and sunny side up eggs… honestly I haven’t avoided these things altogether but just try my best to keep it to a minimum. My doctor told me not to feel too guilty for eating things on the “no-no” list, and I was so thankful that she gave me that permission since I tend to be hard on myself.
Movement: Not yet and I’m getting so anxious for it to happen
Food cravings: Still loving fruit. Got a hankering for cupcakes and ate 2 from my favorite cupcake shop over the weekend! Snickerdoodle Eggnog and White Chocolate Cranberry flavors – I couldn’t say no.
Food aversions: Nothing this week. Give me all the food 🙂
Have you started to show yet? Little bump that gets bigger by the end of the day
Gender prediction: Boy, counting down the weeks until we get to find out. The good thing about not knowing the gender is that it keeps me from shopping for baby stuff.
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Feeling happy most of the time. We’ve been having the rainiest, gloomiest weather lately which has started to get to me, but demolishing our bathroom in the house to prepare for re-model has been wonderful therapy.
Looking forward to: C’mon baby I want to feel you move so that I know you’re happy in there! Even though I’ve seen the baby on ultrasound and heard the heartbeat, at times it’s still hard to believe I’m pregnant and not just getting chubby. Feeling the baby move will feel like confirmation. Do any of my mama friends know what I mean?? 😉

I think I felt my little one move around 20 weeks. So hard waiting to feel that little flutter!
